I graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina in 1994 with a BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. I then worked for designer jewelry artist Ben Dyer for several years learning to forge gold and practicing perfect craftmanship. I next spent several years learning from a respected bench jeweler Walter Boykin. I then moved on to managing a busy custom and repair shop at the Pioneer in Wilson, NC. During that time, I started designing a line of silver jewelry as both a hobby and a creative outlet. After a few years of taking my jewelry to home parties and craft shows demand became so great that I have opened a store in Wilson, NC where I design, craft, and repair jewelry. My designs include centuries-old motifs, elegant and modern styles, and fun, light-hearted decorations for everyday life. My jewelry is made to be worn, whether it's dressed up or dressed down. Every piece is cut, shaped, soldered, forged, and polished by my two hands. It's truly a labor of love. It makes me happy to see my clients wearing and enjoying my jewelry. I'm proud to be the designer and fabricator of jewelry marking milestones in my client's lives: a pale, blue sapphire pendant for a wedding anniversary, a set of matching bridesmaids' pendants, a spur of the moment demand for new earrings from my little daughter.
